Augusta Locally Grown joins forces with Wellstar Health System, Golden Harvest Food Bank, and Harrisburg Family Health Clinic to support families experiencing food insecurity across the CSRA.

 

For the first time, Augusta Locally Grown is partnering with Wellstar Health System, Golden Harvest Food Bank, and Harrisburg Family Health Clinic to deliver a mobile food market to underserved communities — an initiative made possible through funding provided by the TD Jakes Foundation to the Wellstar Foundation. Through the mobile market, Augusta Locally Grown provides fresh produce, meat, shelf stable items, milk, and other beverages. It is our hope to provide families with food to bridge the food insecurity gap through this initiative. Augusta Locally Grown is thankful to Wellstar Health System in their commitment to help us advance our mission to “to improve health and economic prosperity in our community by growing a stronger local food system throughout the Central Savannah River Area.”
